My favorite moment of his season so far ✨
It wasn’t a home run… it wasn’t a shutout.
It was a bunt.
He got hit by pitch in his 1st two at bats , and the 2nd one got him in a bad spot so he couldn’t move his arm without pain. It would’ve been easy for him to sit out the rest of the game with 2 innings left. But instead, he fought through it and figured out ways he could stay in the game and help his team. He couldn’t swing the bat effectively, so his last at bat he came up in a tie game in the last inning and he bunted in a run to make it 9-8. His team kept the rally going and scored 3 more runs to win their playoff game 12-9 and move on.
It was just a bunt , but it was a lesson in toughness, perseverance, finding a way, and being part of a team.
