🚗 California is changing its license plates!

For the first time since 1980, California has changed the sequence used for its standard license plates. The California DMV introduced a new “reverse” configuration beginning February 1, 2026.

So what’s actually changing?

🔹 OLD: NAAANNN — for example, 1ABC234
🔹 NEW: NNNAAAN — for example, 123ABC4

The important part: you do NOT need to replace your current license plate just because California has introduced the new sequence. The change applies to newly manufactured standard plates; existing plates remain part of the current system. California’s familiar white plate with the red “California” script isn’t disappearing — the state is simply moving to a new numbering sequence.

As a Los Angeles Realtor, I love sharing these little changes that are happening around California — because real estate is about more than houses. It’s about the places we live, the roads we drive, and the lifestyle we choose. 🌴🏡

One more Santa Monica apartment tour… but this one had my client saying “Nope.” 👀

The apartment itself was beautiful, but the location raised some concerns about safety, privacy, and the surroundings. The balcony faced the alley and another building, and the property sits between two streets.

For my client, it simply wasn’t the right fit — and that’s exactly why having a realtor who pays attention to the details matters. ❤️

Beautiful home ≠ the right home.

So… we keep looking! 🔎🏡
