Another one in the books! 🔨🏗️

What started as nothing more than a clean concrete slab is now a beautiful 32’ x 48’ x 14’ shop that’s ready for years of hard work and making memories. The only thing left is for the garage door installers to come put the doors in!

Over the last two weeks we:
✅ Installed heavy-duty post brackets
✅ Set the posts and framed the building
✅ Installed 2x6 girts
✅ Set the trusses
✅ Installed 2x4 roof purlins
✅ Framed all windows and doors
✅ Installed all trim
✅ Finished the roof and wall steel

This building package came from Thorn Tree Supply Bevier Mo., and we were impressed with the quality of the materials from start to finish.

Another project coming together! 💪

We’ve been building a 32’x48’x14’ garage/shop in Macon using a building kit purchased through Thorn Tree Supply, and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of the materials and the customer service they’ve provided.

We’re about 7 work days into the project and have the building completely framed with the metal installation now underway. Just a few more days and this homeowner will have an incredible shop they’ll be able to enjoy for years to come.

Not everything God is building is visible yet.

Jesus once compared the kingdom of God to seed scattered on the ground:

“Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.”
— Mark 4:27

That is a different kind of encouragement.

It does not promise instant answers.
It does not say every season will make sense.
It simply reminds us that growth can be happening long before we see proof of it.

A foundation can look like nothing more than concrete.
A field can look empty.
A prayer can feel unanswered.

But unfinished does not mean abandoned.

Some things take root quietly.

So this Sunday, keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep trusting the work you cannot yet see.

God may already be growing something beneath the surface.

🌤️ Amazing what can happen in just 2½ days.

A few days ago, this was nothing more than a concrete slab.

Now the posts are set, the girts are on, and we’re basically ready to fly trusses.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans. 🌧️ Looks like rain tomorrow, so this project will have to sit tight until Monday.

One thing we love about building pole barns is how quickly homeowners can see their investment take shape. It goes from lines on a plan to a real building in just a matter of days.

We’ll be back at it as soon as the weather cooperates.

Stay tuned… next up is trusses, roof steel, and watching this shop really come to life.

🥵 Talk about a heat wave…

Today was one of those days where the shade was worth its weight in gold.

We got an early start on this new pole barn shop, and by the time the noon heat rolled in, we were calling it a day. 😅

Even so, we made good progress:

✔️ Set the building posts.
✔️ Started installing girts.
✔️ Got this project officially out of the ground.

Pole barns always start the same way—a concrete slab and a handful of posts. It’s hard to picture the finished building at this stage, but every shop, garage, and barn starts with a solid foundation and a straight layout.

We’ll beat the heat again tomorrow and keep this one moving.

If we treasure possessions, our hearts will chase more possessions.

But if we treasure Christ, our hearts begin to look more like His.

Where is my treasure?

Because wherever it is…

That’s where your heart is headed.

🏠 Sometimes the biggest problems are the ones you can’t see.

This laundry room floor had suffered water damage over time. From the surface, it didn’t look terrible—but underneath, the subfloor had to go.

So here’s what we did:

🔨 Removed the damaged subfloor.

🪵 Reinforced and braced the floor joists where needed.

💪 Installed new 3/4” AdvanTech® subfloor to give the homeowner a solid, long-lasting foundation.

Now it’s ready for new flooring and many more years of service.

One thing we always tell homeowners:

Don’t just cover up a problem—fix it the right way.

Whether it’s water damage, a soft spot in the floor, or a structural issue, the goal isn’t just to make it look better. It’s to make it right.
