Here's a little peek at what the month of April looked like for the Orzolek Fam! 🌷
1. ⛳ Golfing with the teenagers? I know these moments get more rare as the boys get older… So when the teens asked me to take an afternoon off work to go golfing with them for the first time, there was only one answer: YES!
2. We took a trip to Philadelphia for the AMA Supercross race and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The boys finally got to see the “big dogs” race in person after having this on their bucket list for years. They even got to meet Aaron Plessinger. We got completely soaked but it ended up being one of those unforgettable family memories we’ll talk about for years.
3. Spring racing season is officially back at Evansville! 🏁 Eli has been absolutely smoking the competition and bringing home lots of 1st place finishes so far this season. Caiden is finally healing up after carpal tunnel surgery and gaining speed again, and he convinced his best friend, Owen, to come race too because, let’s be honest… racing is always more fun with friends. Alex had a rough dirt bike knee injury that got infected and sidelined him for a bit, but thankfully he’s healed up and ready to get back out there this month.
4. Probably one of the biggest things that happened this month was my brothers and I officially purchased our next flip property together. I’m so excited to get this one closed and start the demo. Honestly, the story of how we acquired it deserves its own post because it’s a good one. Maybe I’ll tell more about it when we officially close.
5. Another exciting chapter officially started this month, too: I became an apprentice auctioneer. Taking after the family lineage - my grandfather, father, and brother - and now it’s my turn. I officially participated in my first auction sale with Dustin, and I could not be more excited about the opportunities this opens up for my business and clients moving forward. Now I just need to work up the courage to actually call an auction someday soon. Stay tuned!
6. Farmers Market season is back, and Bryce is back out selling baits at the Bloomsburg Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Huge thank you to our “Nana”, who stepped in to help him this month during the Renaissance Fair weekend.
7. Apparently we’re expanding the farmette again because we added sixteen more chicks to the flock this month. What can I say… I might be a little obsessed… and thanks to Bryce, we also added two turkeys named Tom & Jerry… which should make life around here even more entertaining.
8. ✝️ Easter this year felt especially meaningful. Due to a family circumstance, I ended up hosting this year, and honestly, it was really special having everyone together. The younger boys and my nieces had the best time with egg hunts, laughs, and consuming way too much candy. We also spent time with Joe’s family and wrapped up the evening at Uncle Ty & Aunt Brenda’s for our annual cousin egg hunt tradition. Those family moments always mean the most.
9. We also celebrated our Nana’s birthday this month, and this year it carried a little extra meaning. Watching her bravery and strength over these past few months has been incredibly inspiring. Another year with the people you love close by is always worth celebrating.
10. April also brought all the simple spring moments we love most around here… trail walks, soccer games, fishing trips with friends, spring cleanup projects, and finally feeling the sunshine return again after a long winter.
🏡 On a professional level, this market is moving quickly. Spring inventory is picking up, buyers are active, and I have some really exciting opportunities and listings in the works right now here in Bloomsburg and across NEPA for the month of May. Between real estate, becoming an apprentice auctioneer, and our newest flip project, it definitely feels like we’re stepping into a brand new season.
Isaiah 43:10 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell in the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness”.
Honestly… that verse feels fitting for April. New opportunities. New beginnings. New challenges. New growth…. and a whole lot of gratitude for all of it. 💛
