Mortgage rates have changed quite a bit over the years — and even just this year.

On January 15th, the average 30-year fixed rate was 6.06%. As of September 17th, it’s 6.95%.

A lot of buyers are still hoping to see those 3% rates again, but there’s no way to know when that may happen. In the meantime, if the right home or piece of land comes along and it fits your goals and budget, it may still be worth taking a closer look.
