🍄 A Little Woodland Magic at R&R Creekside Retreat 🌿

One of our favorite things about RRCR is that there’s always something new to discover when you slow down and explore.

A walk through the woods this weekend revealed an incredible variety of mushrooms, wildflowers, berries, ferns—and even one of our resident box turtles tucked into the leaves. 🐢🍄🌼

It’s these little discoveries that make our 7 acres feel different every time you visit. Take a walk on the trails, wander through the woods, and see what nature has waiting for you.

🍄 A Little Wild Side of RRCR 🐢🌲

You never quite know what you’ll discover while wandering around R&R Creekside Retreat!

After some recent rain, the woods have come alive with an incredible variety of mushrooms—different colors, shapes and sizes popping up all along the trails. Add in a visit from one of our resident box turtles, and it’s another reminder that RRCR is about more than just a place to stay. It’s a place to slow down, explore and reconnect with nature.

🌿 A Few New Projects Are Underway at R&R Creekside Retreat!

Over the next several months, we’ll be working on a few projects around RRCR to continue improving the property while keeping the natural, wooded feel that makes it such a special place.

First up — the pole barn!

This weekend we started clearing and cleaning up the area around the barn and building the first railroad-tie landscape beds. Our plan is to create something similar to the concept pictured, with a rustic look that fits naturally into the property.

As we make progress, we’ll be adding hydrangeas, ornamental grasses, wildflowers, natural accent rocks, and additional landscaping around the barn.

It’ll take us a little while since we’re doing the work ourselves between guest stays and whenever we can carve out some time, but we’re excited to see it come together!
