If you love hiking and skiing, skinning up a mountain and skiing down is the way to go ⛷️🏔️ There’s nothing better than being active outdoors—and we’re lucky to have so many great spots close to On Pequawket Pond 🌲

Today we skinned and skied Black Mountain , then treated ourselves to lunch at the recently reopened The Scarecrow Tavern 🍔🍻 — it was delicious!

For those wondering what “skinning” is: special skins attach to the bottoms of your skis, allowing you to climb the mountain without sliding back. Once at the top, you peel the skins off, ski down, and repeat. Challenging, rewarding, and a lot of fun!
