UPDATE 6/25/26 4pm: Tractor-trailer driver stayed after Alamo expressway crash, then left: Records
According to the affidavit, when an officer responded to the scene, he saw a silver Dodge Durango with major damage and a white truck tractor stationary on the outer lane of Interstate 2.
The officer also saw a man, later identified as Ramirez, “wearing a red shirt and blue jeans standing near the accident.”
The officer then made contact with Davila Jr., who had a cut on his right eyebrow, and asked the officer to help his daughter, who was lying on the road with injuries.
That’s when the officer “observed the white truck tractor was no longer at [the] location,” according to the affidavit.
The Alamo Criminal Investigation Division tracked down the tractor-trailer in Hidalgo, where they met with Ramirez, who was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
Ramirez was interviewed at the location and stated he “was driving to his place of residence in Nuevo Leon, Mexico,”

**UPDATE** 6/24/26 5:15 pm: Two more arrests have been made in connection with last week's serious Interstate 2 crash in Alamo that left multiple children injured, including one who was ejected from the vehicle.
The Alamo Police Department announced Wednesday that investigators arrested Francisco Davila Jr., the driver of the Dodge Durango, and passenger Samantha Vianney Rodriguez. Both are charged with Endangering a Child (Imminent Bodily Injury).
According to investigators, video evidence showed the Durango was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted an unsafe lane change before colliding with a tractor-trailer and rolling over. Police say several children were ejected during the crash and investigators found multiple occupants were not properly restrained, including children sharing seat belts and a child safety seat that was not properly secured.
Police also provided new details on the arrest of Jose Fidencio Luna Ramirez, the driver of the tractor-trailer. Investigators said they located him in Hidalgo, where he told officers he was driving to his residence in Nuevo LeĂłn, Mexico. Ramirez was taken into custody without incident and is charged with Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury (Failure to Give Information) and Collision Involving Injury (Failure to Give Information) for allegedly leaving the scene of the crash.

UPDATE 6/20/26 4:45pm: A judge set Ramirez’s bond at $300,000 — $50,000 for each charge.
UPDATE 11pm: Arrest made in Alamo hit-and-run crash, 6 injured.
The Alamo Police Department has located and arrested the driver accused of leaving the scene of a crash that left two adults and four children with injuries.
Jose Fidencio Luna Ramirez, 40, was taken into custody Friday night.
