Using dashes of on-trend elements, combined with classic design and sophisticated color palettes, my designs have a fresh yet serene vibe that give them a common thread that is difficult to categorize or point out as obvious. I enjoy getting to know and bringing a bit of my clients individual personality into every project.

A new restaurant that has been making waves on social media has caught our attention: Shirokuro, an omakase spot that just opened at 103 Second Avenue, near Sixth Street in the East Village. It labels itself as a 'two-dimensional restaurant' and most definitely looks the part.

Rug shopping at Markarian Rugs for my client’s Chinoiserie inspired sunroom/dining space. So fun to play with color, pattern and wallcovering again following the “Grey Period”.

Gallery opening-Edreys Wajed “Diaphanous” at Hallwalls. This was my second show of his, and always find his work to be dynamic and multi-layered. The way the rhythms are painted out like the most vivrant sheet music arrangements…The lyrics and thoughts that have to be sought out, read in flowing wrapped text, often in reverse…To be considered…The beautifully simple black and white line drawing that is so detailed and contain so much emotion-and humor-and honesty.

I posted a while back on Instagram about art and the importance of lighting. Since I have been asked a few times about the little cordless led light fixtures shown from Amazon. So far they have been fun and easy to use. The magnetic heads are so easy to just pop off and recharge and there are multiple settings for brightness and warm/cool color tone. Comes with a handy remote for hard to reach locations. In black, white or wood tone. They do not stick out very far so would not be the best if you have very deep frames.
