Mondays I usually need to spend a little more time at my desk, which inlcudes some social media marketing. Today I heard of the "big deal" buyout, or merger. To be honest, I haven't read the full article yet , so I am not going to pretend I know all the details. 🙂
But it did make me think.
Real estate marketing is changing so much, and technology is definitely part of it. I use technology too. Sometimes I have had to use ChatGPT just to figure out how to get one system to talk to another one or figure out the best way to organize my to dos or make some posts.
But I still believe there is something very valuable about a strong local foundation. The hype isn't justified
There is a difference between having tools and having a standard, being online and being available. There is also a difference between having systems and having systems that actually help people FEEL less overwhelmed.
And honestly, in my personal opinion is that not all growth is healthy growth.
Growth built on the wrong foundation can become confusing, disconnected, and harder for people to trust. But growth built on the right foundation can create better service, clearer communication, stronger systems, and a more steady experience for everyone involved.
Buying, selling, renting, and managing property and selling homes can include a lot of multi-tasking. There are forms, timelines, inspections, lenders, attorneys, emotions, questions, and plenty of things people do not always know to ask about.
That is why I believe the future of real estate still needs clarity, care, accountability, and real people who are willing to slow things down enough to help others understand the process. Anyone can have an online business now days, how do you know who to trust?
Technology should help us serve people better.
It should not replace the relationship.
So while the marketing in our industry keeps changing, I am paying attention, but I am not chasing every news story about the rights and wrongs of other companies.
I just look forward to the foundation I am blessed to be building and the kind of business that I would like to be steady, local, helpful, and trustworthy for the people it serves.
And honestly, I believe the future can still be very bright when we use the tools we have without losing the care people need. 😊
