The Real Cause: Stagnant Wages and Widening Income Gap
The real engine of economic stagnation—and the primary barrier to resolving the housing impasse—lies in the decades-long stagnation of wages for the vast majority of American workers, coupled with an explosive widening of the income gap.

Mortgage rates edged lower in the final days of 2025 as Treasury yields eased.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage fell to 6.15% for the week ending Dec. 31, down from 6.18% the prior week and the lowest level of the year, according to Freddie Mac. By comparison, rates averaged 6.91% at this time in 2024.

"After starting the year close to 7%, the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage moved to its lowest level in 2025 this week, an encouraging sign for potential homebuyers heading into the new year," said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist.

Remember, if you have gas appliances in the household, please have a carbon monoxide detector. Did uiu know that it is called the . Crazy!

So, please check to make sure you have one. Especially if you have a gas water heater inside your home like in the kitchen. Check your battery and replace your device.

Oh and obviously make sure you have a smoke detector in every bedroom and kitchen, check you local ordinances.
