MODA has paid for an ad for the Burns Flat Town Wide Garage Sales in the Penny News for the Wednesday before the garage sale weekend.
Hopefully, this will bring in out of towners. We are not printing maps with addresses this year. However, if you call in your address, we will post a list on the Facebook groups.

Midwestern Oklahoma Industrial Foundation (MOIF) held their annual meeting on April 2nd, 2026 at WTC in Burns Flat. Guest speakers were Rick Koch, owner of ASAP Holdings, LLC and Joe Callahan, Airport Manager of the Oklahoma Air and Space Port. New members were elected for 2026. Joe Callahan was elected as the At-large member. Two members were elected to fill the At-large seats on the MODA Board. Elected was Jimmy Ingram, Weatherford and Kay Allen, Sayre. There was a lot of valuable information presented from both guest speakers. Exec. Director of MODA, Kathryn Carlisle gave the members an update on ongoing housing upgrades and also the annual grant application due dates. Financial Advisor Dacia Phillips, CPA gave the audited report, noting that MODA had a productive year with a positive net position.

MODA is taking applications for part time summer employment. Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid drivers license and know how to operate a zero turn lawn mower. Duties will be mowing, edging, using a w**d eater, and clean out of rental units. Interested persons can apply at the MODA office on 44 highway across from Dollar Tree.

In case of an emergency water problem during the cold weather, please call the water department emergency number. They will turn your water off. Please do not call the MODA number. We do not take care of the water turn off. Behind the toilets and under the sinks, there should be turn off valves. That should be your first step. Our maint. men have found many hoses still attached to the outside faucets, the past 2 days. We did unscrew those. PLEASE check your outside faucets and be certain you have no hoses attached. The damage will cost you. Stay safe.🙂

Tenants----Please remember to unscrew hoses from outside faucets. The faucet will bust in the wall and you will not know it until you turn your outside faucet on in the spring.

Please have a plan in place if you lock yourself out of your unit. We cannot be responsible for unlocking doors after hours or on weekends. You can purchase an extra key for $1 at the office.
