I was fortunate to meet Paul through my work with the Nassau County Economic Development Board , and today I also have the privilege of serving alongside him at the West Nassau Chamber!

Meet the Leaders Behind the Mission ✨

The West Nassau Chamber of Commerce is proud to be guided by a dedicated Board of Directors made up of local business and community leaders who are passionate about helping West Nassau grow and thrive.

Paul Schwend owns Schwend Insurance in Callahan, beginning in 1981. He graduated from West Nassau High School, Class of 1977. He served on the original West Nassau Chamber board in the 1980s and 1990s, filling the role of president in 1992. He is a 1999 alumnus of Leadership Jacksonville. He co-founded CPR Jacksonville and the West Nassau Prayer Breakfast.

Paul was president of the West Nassau Jaycees in 1982 and served as supervisory chairman of Farmers Federal Credit Union from 1999-2009. He served on the Professional Insurance Agents of Florida as Board Member, Vice President 1998-1999. In 2019, he was inducted into Foremost Insurance Hall of Fame. He was later inducted into the West Nassau High School Hall of Fame in 2023.

Paul also serves on the Nassau County Economic Development Board, filling the role since 2020 and serving as chairman in 2024.

I had way too much fun at the Grand Opening of the Westside Regional Park! I've been saying all along I should have been a Cowgirl...🤠 lol!
All jokes aside this is a fantastic addition to our community and I can't wait to go back. I also had my fave sausage dog, "The Jessie", from Hot Dog House FL! Delicious!!
