🦌 Kansas deer season is coming up!

If you're a landowner, agricultural tenant, or traveling to Kansas to hunt, make sure you know which permit you qualify for before you hunt.

Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks continues to see issues with fraudulent landowner and tenant permits. We've put together a few important reminders below, including a reminder that owning 80 acres doesn't automatically mean you qualify for a landowner deer permit.

When in doubt, ask before you hunt.

Does Building a Barn or Shop Add Real Value to Your Kansas Land?

If you own land in Kansas, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve thought about putting up a building.

Maybe it’s a machine shed for farm equipment. Maybe it’s a shop you’ve wanted for years. Maybe it’s a barn for livestock, a place to store hunting equipment, or a building that could eventually become part shop and part hunting camp.

Then comes the big question:

If I spend the money to build it, will I actually get that money back when I sell the property?
