We’re thrilled to welcome Charlee to the Whitney + Co team as our summer intern!

Charlee, a 2024 South Portland HS grad, studied Interior Design at Suffolk University and in the fall is starting the Architectural & Engineering Design program at SMCC.

Already this summer, she’s helped us with stages, tons of destages, warehouse organization, data updating, and is learning our behind-the-scenes systems that keep our projects running smoothly. She’s also spent a significant amount of time driving around Cumberland County with Tara Simopoulos in our new van. 🚐🚐🚐

Charlee has a love for all things design, has a great eye, and works hard (even on the HOT days - not easy).

“Owning a staging business must be so much fun!”

It is... but it’s not all rainbows and sunshine.

Behind every successful stage are dump runs, furniture assembly, warehouse mopping, late-night and early-morning shopping trips, loading and unloading furniture, repairs, cleaning, painting, lifting... You get the point. 😉

There are always a lot of balls in the air, but watching a project come together and helping our clients’ homes look their absolute best for photos and showings never gets old.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to do what we love. ❤️

And eternally grateful to for always burning the midnight oil with me!

Our first stage in Richmond... and we found one of the smartest uses of space we've seen in a long time.

This sweet new build sits in the middle of a beautiful meadow, surrounded by fields and so much quiet.

One of our favorite features was the kitchen. Every inch was thoughtfully planned, and this is the first time we've seen a dining table built right into the island. Such a smart way to maximize seating without making the space feel crowded.

And those custom green kitchen cabinets? 😍 We’re in love.

One of the most stunning transformations we’ve seen in a long time. ✨

Before I visit a home, I always try to find old listing photos. The transformation of this home is truly incredible. What it looked like when the owners purchased it compared to today is almost unrecognizable.

The homeowners have impeccable taste. Every layout decision, finish, and detail was chosen with intention, and their talent shines throughout each space. (VL - I wish you lived closer - I’d hire you!)

Our job was to help buyers connect with the spaces and imagine how they would live here. By adding warmth, scale, and very carefully chosen pieces, we helped highlight everything that already makes this home so special.
