DONE OR DEAL?
I’ve been having this conversation a lot lately. It feels like today’s buyers often want one of two things…
🏡 DONE — a beautifully updated home or new construction where they can move right in. They will often lay a premium for this.
OR
💰 DEAL — a home that needs work, but the listing price seems like it’s a deal so they are willing to do the work. Many times we will see these homes get multiple offers and actual sales price go over asking.
What I find interesting is the homes in the middle.
The well-maintained homes that may not have the latest finishes but are perfectly livable, in good locations, and often represent solid value.
Sometimes those homes get overlooked, even though they can offer buyers the opportunity to enjoy the home now while updating it over time and making it their own.
Of course, every property and every market is different.
But I’m curious…
