Looking for a quick, yet challenging hike with views that are well worth it at the top? Custer Skywalk Nature Trail in Custer South Dakota, located in the heart of the Black Hills, is the place to go! Situated at around 5300 feet in elevation, with over 200 steps up to the top, this is a challenging half-mile hike. Once you get to the top, you can sit and enjoy the views of Black Elk Peak, the city of Custer and even the Needles! The entrance is located off main street in Custer, making it an ideal location for a quick scenic hike, followed by a coffee or lazy stroll through the historic downtown. With free parking available at the adjacent Harbach Centennial Park, make sure Custer Skywalk Nature Trail is on your list of places to take your furbabies!
