Homes, Hikes and Hounds: Part 1: The Introduction
As a realtor, I’ve always believed that a home is more than walls and a roof—it’s the community wrapped around it. And for me, some of the best parts of any community are its parks. Big or small, tucked away or full of activity, parks tell you a story about the people who live nearby. They show you where families gather, where dogs can explore, and where neighbors become friends.
That’s why I decided to start this blog. I spend a lot of time exploring local parks—sometimes for fun with my own dogs, sometimes while scouting neighborhoods for clients—and I realized just how much these green spaces shape the feel of a place. So now, I’m sharing those discoveries with you.
Each post will highlight a different local park, with my dog's rating of enjoyment. Whether you’re searching for your next home, looking for a new weekend spot, or just curious about the hidden, pet-friendly gems in our area, I hope these reviews help you see our communities through a fresh lens.
