And want to guess which one we’ve thought about the most? 😂 Yep. The two-star review. We wish we could say we laughed it off and moved on, but we didn’t. It bothered us. A lot.
When you pour so much of yourself into something, it’s hard not to take criticism personally. These properties aren’t just a business to us. We’ve spent countless hours working on them, improving them, cleaning up messes, fixing things that break, answering messages, worrying about the little details, and trying to create places where families can make really special memories together.
So when someone tells you that you missed the mark, it stings. But maybe that’s part of building something you care about. We’re not perfect. Our properties aren’t perfect. And we’re going to get things wrong sometimes.
What we can do is listen. Fix what needs fixed. Reinvest. Learn. And keep showing up.
The 553 five-star reviews remind us that we’re doing a lot right.
The one two-star review reminds us that there’s always room to do better.
