What a whirlwind these two were, but what an exciting and victorious feeling seeing both of these clients make it to the finish line! 🎉
Thank you to my two buyers for trusting me to work hard, advocate for you, and keep pushing forward through two home purchases that were anything but straightforward. There is nothing that makes my heart happier than seeing two sets of parents find the perfect homes to raise their families in. ❤️
One of these transactions ended up closing well beyond the original closing date, because of circumstances completely outside of our control. Not every part of a transaction is always seamless, that is why it is so important to have a team you trust for when things get hard.
I constantly preach to my clients about the importance of choosing a reputable lender. Not just someone who can get you pre-approved, but someone who will educate you, communicate with you, advocate for you, and see you all the way through to the closing table.
While local lenders are not automatically better simply because they are local, I can tell you with certainty that there are some incredible ones right here in our own backyard. Lenders who know the market, care about their clients, and do not throw in the towel the second a transaction hits a bump in the road.
One story I always share with my buyers:
I once had a first-time homebuyer who was promised the moon and the stars from the beginning, especially when it came to closing costs and what he would need to bring to the closing table.
What started as $1,000… quickly became $4,000… then $6,000. By week three… we were at $14,000 and climbing.
When my client realized how unfeasible the situation was becoming, I asked him to trust me and simply have a conversation with a reputable local lender that was known and dependable.
He did.
By the time we got to closing, he was walking away with money in his pocket instead of having to bring money to the table.
That is why the team you choose matters.
Your realtor, lender, attorney, inspector, contractor, title company, and everyone else involved should be people who are willing to educate you, communicate with you, advocate for you, and help you navigate the inevitable bumps along the way.
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial and personal decisions you will make. It should not feel like you are navigating it alone.
It should be an exciting milestone, and you should have a team beside you that you trust to help lead you down the best path for success. 🏡❤️
