Another short sale getting ready to close for our client. A couple months ago, .realtor and I started a short sale facilitation company. We negotiate with banks on behalf of our seller client (homeowner) to help them avoid foreclosure. For this transaction, the mortgagee is Fannie Mae, also referred to as an investor in the secondary mortgage market. Being able to navigate short sales allows us to assist the homeowner to sale short of what is owed on the property to avoid foreclosure, and allows our investor client to purchase the home to make a profit once it’s rehabbed.
