Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 😋
It may be blisteringly hot outdoors, but put on your apron and fire up the oven, for this is a day to bake dozens of chocolate chip cookies! And, then eat them, of course! The chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield from Massachusetts, in 1938. Her husband ran the Tool House Inn, resulting in her cookies being called "Toll House" cookies. Nestle bought the rights to the name, and the rest is history!

Sales continued to be down in May, as economic trends along with tight supply and fluctuating mortgage rates continue to frustrate buyers and sellers. However, Some outlying areas around the region are still experiencing positive, year-over-year closed sales, which show that buyers are willing to trade commute for affordability.

As the market changes, pricing the home well remains critical for sellers. Sellers still received almost 98 percent of asking prices for their homes in May, but they are not in as strong of a position as they were during the pandemic years.
