Design is about so much more than making things look good.

It’s about helping projects run smoother.
Helping clients feel less overwhelmed.
Helping builders keep things moving.
Helping create homes that not only look beautiful, but actually function well for real life.

And while talking about your own business on socials can sometimes feel a little awkward… this isn’t bragging — it’s proof. Proof that thoughtful collaboration, communication, and intentional design matter.

If you’re a homeowner considering a kitchen or bathroom renovation, full home remodel, custom build, or furnishing project, I’d love to help guide you through the process and make it feel a little less chaotic.

And if you’re a builder or GC looking to add another collaborative design partner to your team, I’m currently looking to connect with a few more builder partners for upcoming 2026 and future projects.

Whether it’s a large-scale renovation, a custom home, or helping furnish and pull together the spaces you live in every day, I love creating homes that feel intentional, functional, and reflective of the people living in them while also making the process feel organized and approachable along the way.

A very special shout out to my clients and builders who were kind enough to share their experiences in working with .

Started the morning answering emails, organizing samples for meetings, squeezing in an early workout, then packing up the car and heading to a residential project meeting. We reviewed everything from stain colors and accent walls to cabinet progress, paint direction, and all the little in-between details that somehow become the big details.

While on-site,📱 I took three separate calls tied to three other active projects: scheduling wallpaper install, coordinating lighting deliveries with reps, and locking in an electrical walkthrough with another builder.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I made it home long enough to inhale lunch and take a quick walk with my pup 🐶 before repacking the car and swapping residential samples for commercial plans and materials. Then it was back out the door for a two-hour site walk at a restaurant buildout. 🍽️

And because construction timelines wait for no one… there were also phone calls coming in during the walkthrough about rescheduling an in-home consult and answering builder questions that needed decisions in real time.

All wrapped up before 6. Long day. Full schedule. Slightly chaotic. But honestly, I’m grateful for all of it.

I’m really grateful to have both the design vision and construction knowledge to help projects move forward in a way that feels clear, collaborative, and realistic for everyone involved. And I’m equally grateful for the builders, trades, contractors, and clients who trust me as a partner throughout the process to help create a really solid end result.

Residential. Commercial. Renovation. New build. Every day looks a little different over here, and I genuinely love that.

We’re still taking on projects for summer and always looking to build strong relationships with builders and GCs who value collaboration, communication, and thoughtful design. If that sounds like you, let’s grab coffee. DM me 📩 would love to chat.

April felt like one of those months where everything is happening at once but in a good, “this is exactly what I’ve been working toward” kind of way.

A mix of site visits, floorplans getting fine-tuned, tile selections coming together (you already know that’s my love language), and those in-between moments that don’t always make the highlight reel. Emails, revisions, problem-solving, all the things that actually make a project move. A few installs starting to take shape, wallpaper moments I’ve been waiting to see come to life, and that steady rhythm of building something real, not rushed.

Outside of work, it’s been early mornings, getting outside more, keeping things simple. Protein shakes, sunshine, checking in with myself a little more. The kind of habits that don’t look exciting but quietly keep everything else running smoother.

Studio Lee is growing in a way that feels aligned. More clarity, better projects, stronger conversations, and a deeper understanding of how I want to show up, not just as a designer, but as a business owner. Less about doing everything, more about doing the right things well.

Grateful for the work, the people, the pace (even when it’s full), and the reminder that this doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built, one decision at a time.

We just wrapped up the New Old Farmhouse project and, let me tell you, this house was c u s t o m, top-to-bottom. From natural stone finishes to unlacquered brass fixtures to paint pops of blue and green, this house is all beauty, no frills—and not a builder-grade finish in sight.

Swipe to see the design choices we made (and would make again) that added instant charm to this home. Which ones would you do in your new build?

We’re sharing a sneak peek into this Earthy Elegance bath concept.

This home already had a strong Mediterranean backbone (hello, travertine floors), so instead of fighting it, we leaned in just not all the way. The goal was to pull in that revival-style influence while keeping things lighter, softer, and a little more relaxed.

On one side: airy, organic, coastal.
On the other: polished, tailored, a little more luxe.

Somewhere in the middle? This.

We layered warm woods, creamy stones, and subtle veining to keep things grounded, then brought in refined lighting and plumbing to give it that elevated edge. The shower will be a moment with its arched form and added texture, giving it presence without taking over the entire space.

Working within the existing travertine floors added a layer of complexity, but that is often where the best design decisions come from. It forces intention, creates contrast, and makes the final result feel more considered.

This is the part of the process that really matters. Balancing preferences, honoring the home, and pushing the design forward in a way that feels cohesive and lived in.

Sharing a look at the concept and material direction here. The final is going to be a good one.

A lot of people don’t think they need a designer.

You know what you like.
You have a clear style an overall vibe.

And you’re not wrong.

But here’s the part no one tells you…selections are maybe 20% of the job.

The other 80%
• Technical decisions
• Documentation
• Coordination with your builder and trades
• Answering questions you didn’t even know were coming

Because just knowing the color palette, tile style, or lighting you like does not mean your GC is going to execute it the way you have it in your head.

That gap is where things get missed.

That’s also why it’s always harder and more expensive to bring a designer in after a project has already started. At that point, we are playing catch up, untangling decisions, filling in missing details, and trying to get everything back on track.

The best time to involve a designer is before the first real decision gets made.

You are not hiring a designer just to pick things out. You are hiring expertise, one with builder lingo, product knowledge, documentation knowledge how and someone to make sure what is in your head actually gets built the way you intended.

And that part. That is what is worth the investment.

A recent client told me she wanted a thick countertop in her kitchen.

And honestly… fair. Because that chunky, high-end countertop edge is everywhere right now.

But once we started talking through what she was actually drawn to, her mind was a little blown 😅

Because in most cases, what people are calling a “thick slab countertop” isn’t actually one giant extra-thick slab.

It’s usually a mitered edge detail meaning the countertop is fabricated to look thicker from the front.

It’s one of those little design details that can make a kitchen feel way more custom and elevated.

It can also cost a bit more depending on the fabrication and edge profile… but on the right project?

Totally worth it.

Some kitchens don’t need it. Some absolutely do.

Save this if you’re planning a kitchen.

She’s shaping up to be a beauty. The blend of transitional details and high end finishes is going to make her a chefs kiss 💋

With drywall done - wall accents, tile and lighting are all coming down the pike fast and we couldn’t be more psyched to see it all come together!!

This primary suite is all about repetition done right.
Leather grounding the space.
Wood warming it up.
Stone keeping it honest.

Contrast creates interest.
Balance keeps it livable.

Add ambient lighting, lower the noise, and pour a glass of wine (or whiskey—we don’t judge).
This is the kind of primary suite that makes you stay in a little longer.

Top Trail, you’re setting the tone.
