Those of you who have been here awhile know we are fans of adaptive reuse, and Dilworth Artisan Station is a prime example of that. Housed in a former parachute factory that supplied our troops during World War II, this historic brick building has renewed life through the talented artists who work and create here every day.

We're pleased with the Charlotte City Council's decision this week that allows us to continue to progress with the redevelopment of the Charlotte Transportation Center. Together with Dart Interests, we look forward to diving into design for the transit focused, mixed-use project that will help anchor the Arena District and foster a new "festival" street along Brevard Street – something that has long been in the vision plan for .clt.

Congrats on your opening at Salt + Vinegar this week! Owner Sam Hart and his team created a unique space in this adaptive reuse development (a former potato chip factory) for an immersive, one-of-a-kind (truly) dining experience. Cheers!

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of Samuel Kaplan. We purchased Highland Park Mill No. 1, now known as Optimist Hall, from Mr. Kaplan, in 2016. We had the honor of giving him a tour around Optimist Hall shortly after opening a few years ago and were so proud to show him what the space had become. Thank you to his family for visiting again last week. Our thoughts are with you and we thank you for sharing some of your time and stories with us! Sending out a congrats to Hibernian Hospitality for getting top honors in ! The South End beer garden was voted Best Beer Garden in the US in 2022 🍻(Hibernian also owns at , our adaptive reuse property filled with studios for Charlotte creatives and the craft cocktail concept.

It was a great day in NC’s Research Triangle as we broke ground on Horseshoe at , a 125,000 square foot mixed use venture surrounding an outdoor plaza where high tech can meet the great outdoors. Horseshoe is a 100-acre project that will include two million square feet of office, residential, retail, and hotel space, as well as 14 acres of green space. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us today and is a part of this innovative project!
