Lower sales Sept year over year does NOT mean we’re in a bubble that is going to burst! Don’t misinterpret the facts. Inventory for the overall region was down from 2020, prices are still up. We typically see a bit of cooling in September as school starts. Zillow’s recent move to stop buying homes for the rest of the year is due to their aggressive model biting back and not a sign of a market correction. Now, I do think we may see a bit of slowing and a move slightly toward more “normal” (if we even remember what that is!). Overall, the Charlotte market is predicted to remain strong and the counties to the west will be among the stronger areas.
