The Charlotte real estate market remains very busy throughout the holiday season. November statistics show that demand remains high while inventory has become more and more scarce. In a balanced market, we see 6 months of inventory and in November we were down to 1. As we all know, we demand exceeds supply, prices increase which is great for sellers and challenging for buyers. That said, low mortgage rates are a mitigating factor.

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all,

Checkout a few stats on the Charlotte region housing market. Here are a few take aways. We only have 1.2 months of inventory and in a balanced market, we typically see 6 months. This means that buyers are generally in stiff competition when making offers. The lack of supply has pushed the median home price up over 14% which has been somewhat offset by historically low mortgage rates. Typically the real estate market sees a slow down during this time of year. That said, buyer activity remains active and although we have lived under the veil of COVID-19, you would never guess so by the health of the real estate market.
