Things like this keep popping up on my feeds and they’re immediate 🚩. When I moved to CLT eleven years ago a one bedroom apartment in the suburbs was over $750/month, so there is no way a 3 bedroom house is only $950 in 2026!!

And before you come after me claiming I’m wrong - I’ve already spoken with the actual listing agent for this home. He has confirmed, this post is a scam and is not associated with his business.

Be careful y’all, you don’t want to get caught with your pants around your ankles and no money to find your next place.

Charlotte's growth story hit the pause button this week.

City Council unanimously approved a 150-day moratorium on new data center construction while officials take a closer look at how these facilities fit into Charlotte's future. The move comes after months of community discussion, particularly surrounding a proposed project near Reedy Creek Nature Preserve.

Supporters of the pause say they're concerned about long-term impacts on neighborhoods, electricity demand, water usage, and quality of life. Council members stressed that this isn't a permanent ban. Instead, it's an opportunity to better understand how rapidly expanding AI and cloud computing infrastructure could affect residents as Charlotte continues growing.

What's interesting is that Charlotte isn't alone. Several North Carolina communities, including Durham, Apex, and Chatham County, have recently approved similar pauses while reviewing local policies. As technology companies race to build the infrastructure powering artificial intelligence, cities are finding themselves balancing economic growth with neighborhood concerns.

South End keeps finding ways to surprise people - and not just the finance bros!

Kristy's Creole Kitchen officially opened recently, bringing Louisiana-inspired food and cocktails to one of Charlotte's fastest-growing neighborhoods. The restaurant takes over the former Mazi location and introduces a completely different dining experience than what many people typically associate with South End's brewery-heavy scene.

What's interesting is how much the neighborhood's food landscape has evolved over the last few years. South End used to be known primarily for apartments, breweries, and office growth. Who remembers when it had an Olive Garden!?! Today, it's becoming one of Charlotte's most competitive restaurant markets, attracting everything from chef-driven concepts to locally owned startups looking to make a name for themselves.

New restaurants might seem like small news, but they're often one of the clearest signs of neighborhood growth. Business owners invest where they see long-term opportunity, and openings like this reflect the continued demand from residents, visitors, and employers choosing South End.

Charlotte may not be hosting World Cup matches this summer, but that doesn't mean we're sitting on the sidelines.

Scotland's national team officially chose Charlotte FC's Atrium Health Performance Park as its tournament headquarters. Players, coaches, staff, and fans from one of soccer's most historic nations are spending time right here in the Queen City while preparing for matches across North America.

What's interesting is that Scotland isn't the only team looking at North Carolina. Germany and Norway also selected locations across the state as their base camps. That's a huge vote of confidence in our facilities, infrastructure, and ability to host international visitors.

A few years ago, most people outside the Southeast probably couldn't have pointed to Charlotte on a map. Now we're attracting professional sports franchises, international events, major employers, and visitors from around the world.
