Look at this walkway. Stamped concrete made to look like stone, and it turned out awesome.

Here's a little secret about stamped concrete though. It looks like stone, but it's still concrete underneath. And just like regular concrete, the sun and rain will fade it out over time if it's not sealed.

Sealing keeps that color looking fresh and protects it from stains too. Dirt, mulch, whatever gets
tracked across it.

Funny thing is, the sealer isn't even the most important part. Getting it clean first is. If you seal over dirt and grime, it's stuck under there for good. Clean first, then seal. That's the whole trick.

Walkways like this see foot traffic every single day. A good seal is what keeps it looking this good for years instead of months.

We kicked things off with a patio in Trilogy Lake Norman that needed some TLC. The joint sand was missing, w**ds were making an appearance, and the paver color had faded. Our enhanced package meant a full reset, so we got to work removing the old joint sand and deep-cleaning the surface with a three-step process to lift those stubborn stains and prep every inch.

We then added new joint sand at just the right depth for a solid lock-up. To top it all off, we applied our enhancing sealer to bring out the color, keep those pesky w**ds and moss at bay, and secure the joints tight. The result? A vibrant, protected patio that’s all set for family gatherings and ready to take on the Lake Norman weather.

We just wrapped up this travertine pool deck and wanted to share a little about why we sealed it the way we did.

Travertine is a porous stone, so we always use a natural look sealer on pool decks like this one. It's breathable, meaning any moisture underneath the surface can still escape instead of getting trapped in the stone.

We could've used a glossy sealer to make it shine, but around a pool, that shine comes with a trade-off. Glossy sealers will get slippery when wet, and that's just not worth it when it's a surface people are walking on barefoot every day.

Our process is simple: clean, sand, seal. Cleaning strips away years of algae and grime. Sanding fills the joints back in so the stone stays locked in place and w**ds don't have a way in. Sealing protects it all and helps it stay that way.

Nothing fancy, just doing it the right way. Proud of how this one turned out. Thanks for allowing us to bring your pool deck back to life Danny!

Getting a patio ready for sealing starts with proper prep. Today we’re sanding a patio in the Imagery neighborhood, making sure every joint has sand and is ready for sealer.

Sanding slows down w**d growth, keeps pavers in place and acts as a cushion between the pavers, so the sealer can bring out the best look possible. It’s a small step that makes a big difference in the final result.
