Hey Huntersville! Here's Your Monthly Town Update!
1) As mentioned previously, the approved mixed-use project at 106 Gilead, which was commonly referred to as Holbrook Phase 2, is no longer happening. The Town of Huntersville has now officially purchased this key 1.7-acre property in Downtown.
2) The Town Board has approved the rezoning amendment of Vermillion Village. The changes include eliminating the 2nd floor in their upcoming non-residential buildings. This is expected to bring a more appropriate amount of parking and 2–3 outdoor patios and activity areas that were not found in the original rezoning.
3) The Town Board approved the rezoning of a 1-acre parcel at the corner of Huntersville-Concord Rd. and Glendale Avenue. The existing home will be removed, and three new homes will be built as part of the Vermillion neighborhood.
