Although this isn’t common you should still know what it is and how & when to use it.

This is a power move most buyers never hear about. You make a large lump-sum payment toward your principal AFTER closing, and the lender re-amortizes your loan → your monthly payment drops without refinancing.

👉 Translation: same loan, lower payment, no new interest rate gamble.
👉 Strategic use: perfect when you plan to sell something, get a bonus, or come into cash later.
