Grand Opening!
South Block is officially open at The Bowl, marking their first location in North Carolina, with more to come! Yesterday’s grand opening brought a strong turnout and great community support as they opened their doors. If you want an acai bowl, smoothie, or juice, South Block has it all so be sure to stop by!

Earlier this week, the entire Thrift team headed to Charleston, SC for our annual retreat. We reflected on 2025 and set new goals for 2026.

Last year had its challenges, but this team showed up and gave their all, day in and day out. We’re proud of 2025, but so excited to see what 2026 holds for TCRES!

Exciting news for Charlotte!

Scout Motors has announced that its new corporate headquarters will be coming to Commonwealth in Plaza Midwood.

Bringing 1,200 new jobs and a major investment to the city, this move marks a major milestone for Charlotte’s growth, and for Plaza Midwood in particular. A 300,000-square-foot office will serve as the new headquarters for Scout Motors, adding energy and momentum to the Commonwealth development.

Congratulations to our partners Crosland Southeast and Nuveen Real Estate on this exciting achievement! Our team is proud to handle the retail leasing at Commonwealth, helping shape one of Charlotte’s most dynamic mixed-use projects!

Last night Thrift CRES hosted an engaging evening at the Charlotte Country Club.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our partners, share ideas, and strengthen relationships within the commercial real estate community.

Mark Vitner, Chief Economist at Piedmont Crescent Capital was our guest speaker at the event. Mark provided a thoughtful and informative discussion on both national and local economies, offering valuable insights into current market trends, economic outlooks, and factors shaping commercial real estate in today’s environment.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for a night of meaningful conversation, collaboration, and connection. Events like these remind us how important it is to continue building strong relationships across our industry.
