Great advice from a local plumber:

Good morning.

My name is Branden and I'm the owner of A&B Plumbing . I've answered no less than 100 phone calls since 3am thos morning. There is no chance of getting more people on my schedule so I'm here to share a few pointers if your water is frozen.

1. Turn on every faucet in the home.
2. Take off all garden hoses.
3. If you have a electric water heater shut the power off
4. If you have a well shut the power off so the pump doesn't burn up.
5. Open all cabinet doors

If you didn't freeze last night it's going to be cold again tonight.

1. Take off all hoses
2. Let faucets drizzle
3. Open all cabinets
4. Turn the heat up a little.
5. Inspect your well cover or house. Make sure there are no gaps.

If you have small gaps seal them off. The picture I posted has a small has just big enough to get my fingers under. This well froze.
Go to lowes and get some sand. Or pile some dirt around it. Try to keep the air out

Good luck and Happy holidays
Branden

Edit: I posted this 12/24 post approval took a while.
