🚨 Medical Debt & Credit Reports: Big Changes Ahead!
The CFPB is working to remove medical debt from credit reports — potentially boosting credit scores by an average of 20 points and wiping out $49 billion in reported medical bills.
🛑 BUT – The new rule is on hold until June 15, 2025 (and may be delayed further).
🔍 In the meantime:
• Medical debt under $500 is not reported
• Paid medical collections are removed from reports
