We are a boutique style residential real estate company serving the entire Charlotte, NC region and into parts of SC as well. As listing agents, we help homeowners in the Charlotte region prepare their homes for a successful sale resulting in a higher price, shorter time on market, and fewer headaches. We tend to focus on what actually works and then doing it better so that we deliver results. When working with buyers, we focus hard on helping them find the best area and home for their needs all with a friendly, no-pressure approach. Hendrix Properties no longer has a brick and mortar office due to there being little need for one. Technology and 'the times' have changed the way we do things so all of our agents maintain professional home offices and are equipped to work on the go in any situation. Mecklenburg County Property Tax Revaluation

🍂 Fall is here. Pumpkin spice, cooler mornings... and property taxes?

If you own a home in Mecklenburg County, the 2027 revaluation is now underway. After its initial review, the County says the median increase for residential properties is about 15%. That does not mean every home’s assessed tax value will increase by 15%, and it definitely does not mean everyone’s tax bill will increase by 15%.

Even if your assessed tax value goes up in 2027, your property tax bill does not automatically increase by the same percentage. After the new assessed tax values are established, Mecklenburg County and our cities and towns will set their property tax rates in the spring. Your actual tax bill will depend on both your new assessed tax value and the tax rate applied to it.

And Mecklenburg isn’t alone. Lincoln, Iredell, Gaston and Catawba are also scheduled for property revaluation in 2027. Union County completed its most recent revaluation in 2025 and is preparing for its next revaluation in 2029. Cabarrus County last revalued in 2024 and is considering moving its next revaluation from 2028 to 2029.

Charlotte-area homeowners should keep this on their radar as we head toward 2027. 🏡🍂

🎉 Happy 27th Real Estate Anniversary to our founder and Broker-in-Charge, Chad Hendrix! We’re pretty sure Chad has no idea this photo is making its return today, but naturally, a milestone like this calls for a little trip into the archives. 📸 And one thing we noticed right away, that great smile hasn’t changed a bit. 😃

A career that started with Dickens Mitchener in 1999 eventually led Chad to Allen Tate and then, in 2004, to create Hendrix Properties. Through every chapter, the same principles have stayed at the center of how he works: take care of your clients, look for the “win-win,” and do things right the first time. That last one is a lesson he got from his granddad, who always said, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” It is also probably why Chad is never satisfied with “good enough” and is always looking for ways to improve how we serve our clients, work together and grow as a company.
