A Mother’s Gaze

With a smile, you offer me sweetness like honey and sugar,
And I try, with gentle words, to bring joy to your lips.

When you look at me, I see the radiant sun;
When I look at you, I see the luminous moon.

Know that in the realm of your love, I’m the most devoted;
From beginning to end, I will always choose to be with you.

Mother, I love you wherever you may be;

This is a poetic rather than strictly literal translation—the highly stylized calligraphy makes a few individual words difficult to distinguish, but the poem’s meaning is a loving tribute to a mother’s radiance, patience, comfort, and enduring place in her child’s heart.

🎤 Really Rotten Real Estate Recollections: Episode Feng Shui

A floor plan can look perfect on paper and still stop a buyer in their tracks.

I once had a deal fall apart because of a feng shui concern built into the home’s layout—something I hadn’t encountered in all my years of selling real estate. I could’ve dismissed it as superstition and moved on, but an objection doesn’t have to make sense to me to be real to a buyer.

So, I did my research.

I learned why that particular layout was considered problematic and found practical remedies that didn’t require changing the structure of the home. We adjusted how the space was presented, repositioned a few things, and helped buyers see how the energy and flow of the home could feel completely different.

Not long afterward, the home was under contract.

Experience isn’t knowing every answer before the question is asked. Sometimes, it’s knowing how to listen, research what you don’t know, and find a solution that gets the property sold.

Not every Buyer is going to be this candidate about why the house didn’t work for them and if you’ve had a listing that has expired I love to take a look at the dynamics and formulate a solid new Game Plan to get it back on the market and get it sold.

That’s the difference between simply listing a home and actively working to sell it.
