Owner of Lace & Grace Weddings + Events here! My names Kristen! I looove weddings and coordinating/decorating for them is one of my biggest passions! I fell in love with them when I decorated my very first wedding cake for a family member at 14!
I went on to help my super big family (32 first cousins😬) with a couple of their weddings through the years. From the age of 18 till around 21 I worked as a head baker at an amazing boutique bakery where I eventually was responsible for setting up/delivering orders to weddings. I started to get some insight into the behind the scenes side of things and how much work goes into making your day as beautiful as the pictures we grew up seeing on Pinterest.
As I grew up and spent 3 years working at the bakery, I started noticing how much I cared about sprinkle placement on cupcakes, and how I should prob focus that passion on a larger scale. 😂
As silly as that sounds, it’s true! I am an incredibly detail oriented person, (it’s true ask my therapist🙈🤣). I decided to start my wedding planning business Lace and Grace after years of having different roles in the industry and my DIY skills reaching a level where it made no sense not to. I am a type 2 Enneagram, and if you don’t know anything about that sort of thing it means I’m a people pleaser to my core. I love all people and I love when my clients turn into my friends! I hope my passion and my work speak for themselves, I truly strive for that.
My husband, Hunter, and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary and he helps me with day of coordinating! He is seriously the perfect balance to my personality. He is the best partner I could ask for in life AND in our business! His personable easy-going demeanor and logic combined with his master level efficiency is such a blessing to Lace & Grace and I am so thankful he loves weddings as much as I do!
Lace & Grace just celebrated our first birthday and we’ve had weddings from Ohio to Charleston, SC and I’ve watched this man drive to buy a speaker so our bride & groom could have their first dance, I’ve watched him help brides change their shoes so they can make their first entrance on time AND comfy, keep groomsmen from staying on the golf course too long, while also making friends with every guest on the invite list. He has helped me pull off some unimaginable tasks, and makes even the craziest ideas achievable. We love telling our crazy wedding stories to our family and friends, especially the one where the cops came because I got to the venue to decorate before the owner and tripped the alarm🙈😅😂. We just truly love going the extra mile and making your day perfectly memorable and smooth.
