There is a specific kind of tired that comes from carrying a business problem alone.

Not the busy kind. The other one. Where the same question has been sitting on the same page of the same notebook since July, and you have turned it over so many times you cannot see it anymore.

You have probably asked a few people. And you got the thirty-second answer, because thirty seconds is all you had. Raise your prices. Post more. Niche down. They meant well. They also had no idea what your actual problem was, because you never got to explain it.

Nobody ever gives you the room.

Except, sometimes, in a parking lot.

The best conversation of the night usually happens out there. Somebody walks you to your car, and somewhere between the door and the curb they stop doing the version where everything is going great. And they say the real thing.

"Honestly, I am not sure this is working." "I have been sitting on this decision for two months." "Can I ask you something I have not asked anybody?"

And there you are at 8:40, standing between two cars, having the conversation that should have happened three hours earlier when there were thirty people in the room who could have helped.

That is what October 1 is for. We are moving the parking lot conversation inside.

Hot Seats and Cold Drinks. Three members take the seat with one real, current business problem. Not a pitch, not a polished story. The thing that is actually stuck. Then the room works it together. Honest feedback, practical suggestions, people who are building right now.

No panels. No slides. Nobody presenting at anybody.

And you do not have to be in the seat for it to be worth the drive. Most people sit there listening to somebody else's problem and slowly realize they are also describing their own.

Tonight we're talking about goals. Which is a word that's been beaten half to death.

You've seen the version where someone stands up, tells you to write your vision down, and everybody claps. Then it's March and nobody can name a single thing they wrote.

That's not what this is.

Tonight is a working session. You bring one goal you've been circling but haven't started. We figure out whether it's actually sized right, what the first three moves are, and who in the room is going to ask you about it next month.

That last part is the whole thing. Accountability that isn't just you and your notes app at 11 PM.

Doors at 5:30. Open networking first, three live pitches from the crowd at 6:20, then we get into it at 6:30.

How it runs: three rounds of ten minutes at a table of about five people. Three questions, answered out loud. You leave with one sentence naming the partner your business actually needs, and then you go say it to people who might know them.

What to bring: a clear intro of what you're building, and some honesty about the thing you keep avoiding. That's the whole prep.

Free. Rounds start at 6:30, open networking runs until 8:30.

Two days out. Here's exactly how Thursday runs, in case you're still deciding.

5:30 to 6:15. Doors and open networking. Come in this window if you can. It's where most of the introductions actually happen.

6:15. Quick welcome. Two minutes, not a speech.

6:20. Three live pitches from people in the crowd. Not scheduled speakers, whoever wants the mic.

6:30 to 7:00. The main thing. Three rounds, ten minutes each, at a table of about five. One question at a time, answered out loud. What you will not compromise on. What you are genuinely best at. What you avoid until it is urgent. You leave with one sentence naming the partner your business needs.

7:00 to 8:30. Open networking, with something specific to talk about instead of "so what do you do."

No cost. No pitch from us. No slides.

Over a thousand people have joined The Hive. Most of them have never actually come to one.

If that's you, no judgment. We know how it goes. You save the event, you mean to go, and then Thursday arrives and going somewhere alone to talk to strangers sounds like a lot.

So here is exactly what next Thursday looks like, in case knowing helps.

You won't be standing in a corner working the room. We run it in three rounds of ten minutes at a table of about five people, one question at a time, answered out loud, so nobody has to invent small talk.

What you are genuinely best at.
What you avoid until it is urgent.

You leave with one sentence describing the partner your business actually needs. Then you take it into the room, because someone there probably knows them.

Last month there were 27 people in that room across 21 industries. That range is the whole point.

Who did you follow up with after August?

27 people signed in, across 21 lines of work. Marketing, lending, insurance, HR, real estate law, AI, furniture manufacturing, software, woodworking, bodywork, events. All in one room on a Thursday night, and the energy was high from the first minute.

Speed networking meant nobody spent the whole evening talking to the same 2 people, which is usually where these nights go wrong.

So drop a comment and tag the person you met and followed up with. Or the one you meant to and didn't. Half the value of this group is the introduction that happens the week after, not the night of.
