1. Pull your credit in the next 60 days and actually face what’s there. That’s where everything starts.

2. Open a savings account just for the home today. Label it. Make it real. Don’t touch it.

3. Stop opening new credit right now. No new cards. No new car. Nothing until you close.

4. Pay your credit card balances below 30% of the limit. In 60 days your score will show it.

5. Get in front of a Lender before you start falling in love with houses. Know your numbers first.

6. Keep your bank account clean and consistent for the next 60 days. Lenders see everything.

7. Ask about down payment Assistance before you assume you need more money than you actually do.

8. Stop googling and have a real conversation. The Internet will talk you out of buying every time.
