When snow falls, Nature listens

✨Scrolling through some files ..digital clean-up and archiving and I came across this photo from a sale I helped with several years ago.

This home had been built and lived in by the original owners in the early 1960's.

There was no washer or dryer hook-up.

When showing agents asked me if there was one in the utility room, I replied "No".

They asked "Why not"

"Because they didn't want one". I answered.

🏡The owners worked their acreage, had a beautiful garden, both flowers and vegetables.

The house was solidly built, but wouldn't appeal to many buyers wanting home offices and bonuse rooms. This had no Master Bedroom, a very small shower and one car garage. It was simple but it had served their family's needs for over 50 years.

📖 This was one of the poignant stories. The owners could no longer live on their own and so we helped them move on to their next chapter. It was our honor to do so.

🚜The tractor in this picture still ran at the time we accepted an offer. That's the way old things can be...not fancy, but reliable. 💙

Last Monday of December and I’m sitting here at my desk, without internet due to a frozen winter wonderland outside my window.

Looking on the bright side, it’s a gorgeous view. I’m cozy with heat and the fireplace nearby, and I have plenty of “non-computer related” to-dos that I’m going to tackle and cross off my end of the year list.
