We pulled up the wall-to-wall carpet and discovered the subfloor needed some attention, so we’re going all in, completely replacing the subfloor and flooring to give this space a fresh start. 🔨

You’ve Heard of Spring Cleaning… How About Fall Cleaning?

Soon it will be time to swap those short-sleeve shirts for long sleeves and sweaters. Sigh. 😊

And while you’re changing over your closets, this might be the perfect time to ask yourself:

What about those coats you haven’t worn in 10 years?

Maybe they no longer fit. Maybe the moths got to them. Or maybe they’re just a little too… 1990s. 😉

Fall is a great time to clean out, organize, and make a little more room in your home. Donate or consign the things you no longer use so someone else can enjoy them—and whenever possible, keep them out of the landfill.

This is terrific! With so much underused office space in Boston—and such a shortage of housing We’ve been talking about converting office buildings to residential use for years. For a long time, everyone said it was simply too difficult and too expensive. Maybe that’s finally changing!
As the founders of Elder Moves Real Estate, We especially focuse on the shortage of appropriate housing for older adults. I would love to see some of these new developments include units specifically designed for people 65+, with accessibility and aging in place incorporated into the design from the beginning.
Imagine a building that intentionally brings together young families, downsizers, older adults, and people who need affordable housing, rather than separating everyone into different communities.
We think creating truly diverse, intergenerational communities gives people more opportunities to connect, support one another, and build a real sense of neighborhood. Why not build communities for all stages of life?

🏘️ A new development partnership is being proposed with a series of changes to its Riverside project, including converting one of the planned residential buildings to senior housing, reducing the project’s overall number of apartments, and shortening the height of its main parking garage.

Buildings 2 and 3, which face the Lower Falls neighborhood, were previously planned as conventional multifamily housing. Under the proposed changes, they would instead include independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
