A bigger house won’t help if the layout still fights your life.
A lot of move-up buyers in Chicago think the answer is automatically more square footage. And sometimes, yes, you do need more room. But sometimes the bigger issue is not size. It is flow. It is storage in the wrong places. It is a kitchen that disconnects everyone. It is bedrooms that technically exist but still do not support the way your life actually works.
That is why moving up should be about more than getting “more.”
It should be about solving the right problem.
The next home should fit your mornings, your routines, your family rhythm, and the season of life you are in now. In Chicago, that can look very different depending on whether you are comparing a condo, a bungalow, or a larger brick home on a different block with a totally different feel. Bigger is not always better. Better fit is better.
What feels more frustrating right now: not enough space, or a home that just does not function the way you need it to?
