Today, we’re proud to introduce Vivmark Residential, the name of the combined company to be created through the merger of equals between AvalonBay Communities, Inc. and Equity Residential.

The name combines viv – from the Latin vivere, meaning to live fully – and mark – a symbol that reflects quality, distinction, and lasting impact. Together, they capture what Vivmark Residential is built to deliver for its residents, team members, communities, and investors.
