Long post incoming but long story short I am now a licensed real estate agent in both MA and CT ready to help you buy or sell your next home! I’d like to share a little more about how I got here though.
A little over a year ago, leading up to my 30th birthday, I was feeling really unfulfilled with my life despite having a pretty decent job in a good field. I was making good money but I couldn’t shake the feeling that life was supposed to be more than what I was experiencing. The monotony of going to work 5 days a week for 2 days off and a couple vacations a year just isn’t the life for me. It hit me like a freight train that the next 30 years were going to look exactly the same unless I did something about it. Nobody was coming to save me.
I made a promise to myself to take back control of my life and make it into something I truly enjoy. I started educating myself and reading any book that I thought might make my life immediately better. Between my 30th and 31st birthday I read over 30 books among the topics of discipline, personal finance, critical thinking, sales, among some others. Along the way I discovered something that I was passionate about education and have fallen in love with the journey of growing as a person.
I learned so many things about how the world works, how money flows through systems, and how people think and I just feel like it would be selfish of me to keep everything I’m learning to myself. As I shared what I was learning with friends and family I discovered yet another passion which is to help others grow as well. I am not claiming to be an expert yet but I am claiming to be an expert on many of these things soon.
Being a real estate agent is a puzzle piece in a much bigger picture of financial freedom for me. I chose that because a lot of the negotiation and communication skills I’ve developed in aerospace would serve me well in the real estate industry, however I have a much bigger vision and goal of helping everyone who finds themselves having similar feelings I was get a little (but hopefully a lot) closer to what they really want out of life. Whether that be by simply sharing knowledge, providing motivation, or sharing tips and tricks on how to handle your finances to be able to buy your time back.
So yes this is my real estate agent page but it’s going to be so much more than that. I plan on sharing anything I think would be helpful to you that I come across reading and creating some positive content to help make people’s lives better along with deals and opportunities in the real estate sector whether you’re looking to stop paying rent and start building equity as a first time home buyer or adding to your investment portfolio. If you think to yourself this will be of no value because you can’t afford to buy a house or have no interest in it you’d be wrong. There will be a ton of value from being here I promise.
If you want to buy a house and don’t see a path forward every single thing I post will be an invitation to ask questions. I’m not here to just help you buy or sell a home when you’re ready, I want to help you budget, invest, save and plan to get you ready as well. Please interact with anything you find valuable or interesting to help me reach and help more people.
Possibly most importantly for me as I grow and learn new things I invite any experts to keep an eye on me as well, keep me honest and if I'm wrong let me know. I am chasing truth not status.
This whole thing may be a little rough around the edges at first but doing something new usually is. Hopefully seeing this from the ground up can help motivate anyone reading this to take that leap and start improving their life on their own terms. Every great journey begins with a single step and if just documenting what I’m already doing and sharing what I’m already learning anyway can help even one person go through a transformative year like I just had it will be worth it.
So again, if any of this resonated with you give me a follow and let me share some of the knowledge I have, and will continue to, accumulate along the way. Engage with the posts. Ask questions. I want to help give back to the community and this how I think I'd be best suited to do so...for now.
