I had an exciting day today, went on a ride along with the Fire Fighters of Engine #55. They were true professionals that took care of business. While I was on, 3 medical calls and a 1 year old baby was locked in a car. It was definitely an educational process that gave me an even higher level of respect for their service to the community. Plus, who doesn’t want to ride on a fire truck sometime in their life?

I have always respected Fire Fighters, but today that has been elevated to the next level. See next post. The new Chula Vista ambulance program is not only improving response times and cutting down transport cost for citizens by approx. $1,000, it is creating excellent in-house recruits from ambulance to fire. Congrats on CV Fires large new group of qualified recruits!!

We had a nice Easter at the Parra Family home, and even got to see Nick and of the rest that fire crew stop by to pick up some of their Easter dinner. Even on holidays, they have to be ready. Thank you for serving our community!
