Be okay with people not liking you.
Not everyone is going to understand you, and not everyone is supposed to. That doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you, it just means you’re real.
The more you grow, the more you’ll notice some people fall off. That’s normal. People get comfortable with the version of you they’re used to, and when you start changing, setting boundaries, or thinking differently, it can make them uncomfortable.
So Let it.
You don’t have to explain yourself to everyone. You don’t have to shrink just to keep the peace. Be kind, be respectful, but don’t twist yourself into someone you’re not just to be liked.
Not everyone will support you. Some people will misunderstand you. Some just won’t like you, no matter what you do ... and that’s okay. You’re not here to win everyone over anyway.
There’s a lot of peace in just being yourself and letting that be enough. The right people won’t need you to pretend. They’ll meet you where you are and respect who you are.
At the end of the day, it’s better to be real and not liked by everyone than to be fake and accepted by all. So let people have their opinions and let them walk away if they want to.
But remember one thing ...
Just don’t lose yourself trying to keep them.
