Happy Constitution Day from all of us at Holgates Heroes!

On this day back in 1787, delegates to the Constitutional Convention gathered in Philadelphia to sign the document that would shape our country for generations.

As the story goes, a curious Philadelphia woman was waiting outside Independence Hall when Benjamin Franklin stepped out. She called out, "Doctor, what have we got... a Republic or a Monarchy?"
Franklin didn't miss a beat: "A Republic, if you can keep it."

Kind of a good reminder for anything worth building... a country, a business, a home. You don't just create something great once and walk away. You keep showing up for it.

Grateful to live and work in a country, and a community worth keeping.

We Remember.

Twenty-five years ago today, the world changed in a single morning. Nearly 3,000 lives were taken... mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors, first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

Today we remember the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and every soul lost that day.

We remember the firefighters and police officers who gave everything.

We remember the families who have carried this loss for a quarter century, who set an extra place at the table, who tell their children and grandchildren about the ones they never got to meet.

We remember the way a nation stood together in grief, and in the days after, in kindness toward strangers.

Some wounds don't fade with time. They just become part of who we are.

To every family who lost someone on September 11, 2001... you are not forgotten. Your loved ones are not forgotten.

We will never forget.
