I totally understand the desire to just reach out and slap certain others sometimes. lol

Marine biologists watched something surprising under the sea. While studying reefs, they filmed octopuses reaching out and slapping nearby fish. The fish did not run away because they were being hunted. Instead, the octopuses seemed to hit them for no clear reason. The scientists called it random slapping, and they said it looked like spite or boredom more than any normal animal need.

The researchers noticed the slaps happened in different places and at different times. The octopuses did not gain food or shelter from the action. Sometimes one octopus would slap a fish and then hide. Other times it would do it again a little later. From these patterns, the biologists guessed the behavior was a sign of a smart animal that can feel annoyed, play, or get bored, not just an animal acting only to survive.

This finding makes people think about how clever octopuses are. It reminds us animals do strange things, and not everything they do has a clear purpose for survival. Scientists still want to learn more, but watching octopuses slap fish gives a small, funny window into the hidden lives of sea creatures.

If you’re on the fence about buying, it could be costly to continue waiting. There are many loan products and ways to negotiate contracts to get a mortgage payment you’re comfortable with. Let’s talk.

2019: "I'm waiting for the market to crash."
2020: "Pandemic! See? I was right!"
2021: "Prices are insane. I'll wait."
2022: "Rates are too high. I'll wait."
2023: "Still too expensive."
2024: "New administration..."
2025: Still renting. Still waiting. Still wrong.

Meanwhile, the "panic buyers" of 2019?
They own homes worth $95k more.
They've built six years of equity.
They're not paying rent.

The crash you're waiting for?
Even if prices drop 15%, that's $417k → $354k.
Still $32k more than 2019.
You're still behind.

And when prices DO drop?
Every "patient" buyer floods the market.
That $354k house gets 15 offers.
Bidding war pushes it to $375k.
You waited six years to overpay anyway.

One of you is winning. Hint: Not you.

Every year you wait costs:

Appreciation you'll never recover
Equity you'll never build
Rent you'll never get back

Happy Birthday 🎂!
Did you know?
MTV was first launched at 8pm - 44 years ago today!

I remember the debut, the excitement i had!😃
I dont recognize today’s version and wish we had another channel that just played music videos today!!

The first 3 videos that were played:

Video Killed the Radio Star-The Buggles
You Better Run-Pat Benatar
She Won’t Dance With Me- Rod Stewart

The moon landing picture was shown at the top of every hour until 1986 when it was removed following the Challenger Space Shuttle Disaster. 😢

MTV Europe was launched in 1987 with the first video being Money for Nothing- Dire Staits with the “I want my MTV” lyric being sung by Sting.

This song had been used first iby them in 1982 in a campaign using top artists encouraging viewers to request their lical providers to add MTV to their channel lineup.

Anyhoo, what’s your favorite MTV memory and/or video?

Which do you prefer, hot or cold?
Evidently there are benefits to each. I generally prefer a hot shower but have been reading up on the benefits of cold water therapy and think I’m going to try and wean myself into a cold one once or twice a week. Brrr. We’ll see.

Did you know that in Switzerland, it’s illegal to own just one Guinea pig?! Because Guinea pigs are such social animals, they can become depressed and/or ill when left alone for too long. Therefore the Swiss consider it inhumane to keep just one! That’s very thoughtful. I think we as humans are much the same, don’t you? Check in on someone that you haven’t seen or heard from in a while that might live alone or for whatever reason be separated from their friends or loved ones. They could be your guinea pig for the day, so to speak.
