A buydown temporarily reduces your interest rate, saving you money and lowering your monthly payments during the initial loan term.. A lower interest rate helps your monthly payment way more than a lower purchase price.

With rates projected to stay around 6% in 2024, don’t wait! Home prices will continue to increase year over year..

When/if rates drop you can look into re financing. You (most likely) won’t be able to wait to buy a home for less than what the market value is today.. You (most likely) will be able to refinance for a lower rate after your buy down ends.

Congratulations to the Mittelstaedt’s!! Shannon worked on this Listing for almost 6 months. When they were ready to go Live she was out of town, so I was able to get the Listing up and Live AND Under Contract by the time she came home!

This is an overdue post! On the 6th we closed on not just 1, not just 2, but 3 transactions.

Garett was one of the first Buyers I was able to co agent with Shannon on about 2 years ago. He was so fun to do showings with and so patient in the height of the crazy Seller’s market.

Fast forward to now.. Garett and his boyfriend Tason wanted to sell their townhome and get a place closer to work and with space for Garett’s mom, Sheri, to move with them!!

To make this happen, we had the task of selling not only one but two homes in order to successfully qualify for the home of their dreams which we found literally the same week they decided this is what they wanted to do.

I’m not kidding when I say, the stars aligned. We got both homes under contract quickly and for what we needed to make this move a reality. In addition, the Seller of their dream home worked with us on having not just one contingency to sell, but two.

We were also able to negotiate the deadlines on all 3 to close on the same day as well as get them 7 extra days after closing to move out of their current homes so they weren’t rushed and they can have a few days to take their time getting 100% packed up and also settled in their new beautiful home.

I am so grateful I was able to help this amazing family. They are the definition of “good people” and they deserve this beautiful new home in Layton so much!! Love, love, love them!
