Meet Phantom and Brody, two very different personalities with two very different stories.

Phantom came into our lives 12 years ago when Derrick and our daughter rescued her. How she ever ended up at our house is something I’ll probably never fully understand, especially since she has never liked being picked up, cuddled, or even petted most of the time. She accepts affection strictly on her terms.

Then there’s Brody. Three years ago, the runt of a litter found his way into our family. He was our very first dog, so we really didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. Unlike Phantom, Brody can never get enough attention. He follows us everywhere and always wants to be right by our side.

They may not have arrived in the most planned or predictable ways, but I think the best additions to a family rarely do.

I’ve realized that I share plenty of real estate information here, but not nearly enough about the person behind the posts.

So, hi! I’m Tara. 😊 I’ve been a Realtor since 2013, but I’m also a wife, a mom, an animal lover, a Florida local, and apparently someone who will agree to a nearly six-mile waterfall hike without fully understanding what she signed up for. 😂

Real estate is a huge part of my life, but it isn’t my entire personality, so I’m going to start sharing a little more of the everyday life behind the business.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make during hurricane season is assuming a change in the forecast track means it’s time to stop preparing.

Wind, heavy rain, storm surge and tornadoes can extend well beyond the cone—and forecasts can continue to change.
