A lot of people want to be close to Orlando, Disney, and all the major attractions… they just don’t want to deal with the traffic, crowds, and touristy feel every single day.
That’s why these five towns are worth checking out if you want a little more peace without feeling too far removed from everything.
Windermere
Quiet, residential, and surrounded by lakes. There’s also limited inventory and development, which helps it feel more private.
Winter Garden
You get a walkable downtown, local restaurants, community events, and a real neighborhood feel without all the tourist traffic.
Celebration
It’s master-planned, but it was designed to feel like an actual community. It’s walkable, charming, and very close to Disney.
Clermont
This is a great option if you want rolling hills, outdoor activities, newer communities, and a little more breathing room.
Oakland
One of the smallest towns in Central Florida. It’s quiet, has limited commercial development, and still puts you close to Winter Garden and Clermont.
These are the types of places people usually start looking at when they want a calmer day-to-day lifestyle but don’t want to feel completely disconnected from Orlando.
